Mennuci produces ‘Low Protein Pasta’ specifically for those with strict medical conditions. The composition of the Low Protein Pasta has been strictly modified to suit the nutritional needs of those affected by congenital metabolic disorder.
This type of pasta (notified under Legislative Decree no. 111/92) has a extremely low content, which is guaranteed and constantly controlled, of protein, sodium, potassium, tyrosine and phenylalanine.
‘Low Protein Pasta’ is made by using a mixture of starches of different origins and types which are selected to obtain a product with a ‘cooking performance’ comparable to that of a conventional pasta.
